My husband was a little worried about what it was going to taste like (he isn&#8217;t a bit of a meat loaf fan), but he does love tomato soup. The end result is a tomato ground beef cheesy yumminess.<\/p>\n<p>I experimented with a few versions and put together this stuffed green bell pepper recipe.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients for stuffed green bell peppers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8 green bell peppers<\/li>\n<li> 1 pound ground beef<\/li>\n<li> 1\/3 cup chopped onion<\/li>\n<li> 2 fresh tomatoes, chopped<\/li>\n<li> 1\/2 cup uncooked basmati rice<\/li>\n<li> 1\/2 cup water<\/li>\n<li> 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon oregano<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons parsley<\/li>\n<li> 1 cup shredded Monterrey Jack cheese<\/li>\n<li> 2 (10.75 ounce) cans  condensed tomato soup<\/li>\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\n<li> Water to add as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preheat oven to 375 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>1. In a medium saucepan cook the <em>1 lb. ground beef<\/em> and <em>1\/3 cup chopped onions<\/em> over medium heat until the meat is brown. Drain excess fat and liquid.<\/p>\n<p>2. Add the <em>chopped tomatoes<\/em>, <em>1\/2 cup water<\/em> and the <em>1\/2 cup uncooked rice<\/em> to the ground beef. Cover the pan turn the stove down to simmer and simmer for 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<div id=\"attachment_500\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cookingonadime.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/filling-for-stuffed-green-peppers.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-500\" class=\"size-full wp-image-500 \" title=\"filling-for-stuffed-green-peppers\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cookingonadime.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/filling-for-stuffed-green-peppers.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.cookingonadime.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/filling-for-stuffed-green-peppers.jpg 1000w, http:\/\/www.cookingonadime.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/filling-for-stuffed-green-peppers-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-500\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rice, tomatoes, ground beef &#8211; this is the ultimate stuffed pepper stuffing!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>3. In a large pan boil water and boil the <em>green peppers<\/em> for about 5 minutes. Place the peppers upright in a a baking pan. I usually use one of my glass or <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/Qe2hkF\" target=\"_blank\">Pyrex baking dishes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>4. Add the <em>1 tsp. Worchester sauce<\/em>, <em>1 tsp. oregano<\/em>, <em>2 tsp. parsley<\/em>, <em>2 cans tomato soup<\/em> and <em>1 cup cheese<\/em>. Heat over medium heat until the soup is warm. You may need to add a little water, you want the consistence of gravy.<\/p>\n<p>5. Pour into green bell peppers and sprinkle cheese on top.<\/p>\n<p>6.
